I'm applying for Canada citizenship
but I need 2 more points to
become qualified. I'm planning
to acquire basic French reading
and writing skills to gain those
2 points.
Q1: Is taking TEF the only way
to prove my French level?
A1: Yes, TEF is the only French
test that is recognized by CIC.
Q2: Can I take training classes
in a private institution and
prove my French level with its
certificate?
A2: Yes, you can also provide
other written materials to prove
your language proficiency. However,
the materials must be sufficient
so that the officer will make
a favourable assessment.
